COMMODIVERSE is a character-focused brand that features a crew of escapee animals, each with distinctive scars and personalities from their commodified past. The name comes from a combination of COMMODIFY, to treat or consider something as a product, and UNIVERSE. All of the COMMODIVERSE characters are based on the real life experiences of animals.

COMMODIVERSE’s mission is to inspire people to question what is best for animals, spark individual research, and encourage change. With this cast of characters, we aim to raise funds for like-minded organizations through merchandise sales to increase animal welfare education and awareness. Hi there, I’m Kristen (or krisk)! I’m a character artist and designer based in Los Angeles, CA. I have a forever love for animals and cartoons that influences me creatively and in my daily life. You will often find me spending time with animals, whether it be volunteering at animal sanctuaries or working with horses, and obsessing over cartoon characters and collectibles. COMMODIVERSE combines a lot of what motivates me in life – character artwork, merchandise design, and advocating for the ethical treatment of animals. I am forever thankful for the support on this passion project of mine, no matter how big or small!
